Interiors

The art of arrival

A residential arrival sequence shaped by faceted surfaces, integrated mailboxes and precise lines of light. Everyday functions become part of the architecture.

Status
completed

The completed residential lobby turns reception and circulation into a carefully detailed interior. A bespoke reception, stainless-steel mailboxes and large-format porcelain tiles give practical elements a precise architectural role. Pale veined surfaces meet darker panels, while a faceted metallic feature introduces a finer rhythm at the point of arrival.

Lighting is drawn into the edges of the composition, outlining wall planes and the mailbox recesses. The result is an entrance with a clear hierarchy: the shared address, the route towards the lifts, and the small daily rituals that happen between them. Materials establish identity through contrast and detail.

A contemporary reading

Contemporary discussions of shared space make the residential lobby worth reconsidering as a room in its own right. Here, the attention given to storage, light and arrival brings architectural care to a collective threshold.
